Registration (5:00 - 6:15 p.m.)

Welcome & Introductions (6:15 - 6:30 p.m.)

The Biblical Foundation of Marriage | Kevin Swanson (6:30 - 7:20 p.m.)

The conference will open with a review of the basic biblical teaching on the establishment of marriage. Grounding our understanding of marriage in the teaching of Scripture will be imperative to being able to move forward in the teaching on marriage for the rest of the conference.

The Cultural Attack on Marriage | Kevin Swanson (7:40 - 8:30 p.m.)

The attack on the Christian teaching on marriage has been a long time in the making. What began long ago, continues today as seen in the rise of feminism in the culture and church, and the acceptance of fornication and divorce. The effectiveness of this attack is seen in the whole-sale acceptance of these and many unbiblical views relating to marriage.

Dessert & Fellowship (8:30 - 9:30 p.m.)

Saturday, February 24, 2018

Complimentary Continental Breakfast (8:30 - 9:10 a.m.)

Welcome (9:10 - 9:20 a.m.)

Preparing for Marriage | Kevin Swanson (9:20 - 10:10 a.m.)

More than just a marriage conference for those already married, this talk is designed to help parents and singles think through what should be done to prepare themselves for participation in a godly marriage. In addition this talk will also address single members of Christ's body, and encourage them in their singleness.

Understanding Your Marriage | Kevin Swanson (10:30 - 11:20 a.m.)

Once married, how do married people honor the Lord in their marriage? That question is addressed in this talk, looking at the biblical roles for husband and wife. Although not culturally popular, the authority of Scripture extends to every realm of our lives.

Lunch Break (11:20 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.)

When 1 Becomes 3 | Geoff Gleason (12:50 - 1:40 p.m.)

One of the great blessings of marriage is children. Psalm 127:3 tells us they are a heritage and a rich reward. However, sometimes the transition from a married couple to parenthood can be challenging. This talk will present some practical helps on how to adjust to the arrival of children.

Working Through Conflict in Your Marriage | Henry Beaulieu (2:00 - 2:50 p.m.)

When two sinful people come together in marriage, there is bound to be conflict. The presence of conflict should not be surprising, but there is an appropriate way to deal with it. In this session, helps and guides for dealing with conflict in marriage will be developed and explained.

Preserving Your Marriage | Kevin Swanson (3:10 - 4:00 p.m.)

Marriage is a lot of work. Do not let anyone convince you other wise. But it becomes more work if you fail to nurture and invest in your marriage. As the conference closes, you will be sent on your way with some things to consider when it comes to how to keep your marriage strong.

Closing (4:00 - 4:05 p.m.)

2018 Christian Life Conference

Marriage is one of the mandates God gives to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. It is foundational among all the human relationships God has established. And yet, in our life-time, so much has been done to damage this beautiful gift God has given us. Be equipped as to how you can respond as a member of the church of Christ.

This conference is open to young and old, married and single, men and women. Join us for a conference that will teach you from the Bible how you may glorify him in marriage.
